Service Bulletin #099: Temporary Outage for Short Code Texting Service (Clickatell Maintenance)

Clickatell, our partner responsible for the short code texting service, has scheduled planned maintenance that will result in a temporary service outage during the designated maintenance window.

What's the issue?

Our partner responsible for the short code texting service (used by riders to request bus status updates via text message to 321123) will be conducting planned system maintenance. This will result in a temporary service outage on September 25, 2025, between 4:00pm and 5:00pm EST, during which time their services will be temporarily unavailable.

Who's affected?

Agencies using Avail’s CAD solution in combination with the short code texting service (powered by Clickatell) will experience a brief interruption in rider-facing text message functionality.

What do I need to do?

No action is required in advance. However, please be aware that Clickatell communications will be offline for approximately one hour on September 25 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm EST.
