Use this option when you need to pull a vehicle off its schedule (block). This option allows you to select the replacement vehicle, select a replacement operator (if needed), enter messages for both vehicles, and open an Incident.

Select a Replacement Vehicle: Select a replacement vehicle from the drop-down.
Select an Operator: Select an operator to drive the replacement vehicle.
Message to vehicle being replaced: Enter a message to the vehicle that is being replaced. Make sure to select either No Ack, Ack Required, or Yes/No so you can see the operator’s response to the message.
Message to replacement vehicle: Enter a message to the replacement vehicle. “Meet vehicle at 13th and Walnut.” Make sure to select either No Ack, Ack Required, or Yes/No so you can see the operator’s response to the message.
Incident Type: The incident type will default to the selected Decision Support action, but the user can still change or select the incident type from the drop-down. The user can now also subscribe to an email or text alert for the incidents or the event.
Reason Code: Select a reason code from the drop-down. There are several options available to choose from, depending on what type was selected the user will be able to pick the appropriate reason code.
Description: Enter a short Description.
Click Submit.

Please note that if a vehicle swap impedes service offerings significantly, this may warrant entering system adjustments to account for the time in your NTD reporting metrics. In this case, please share the deviation and related information with staff who manage system adjustments.
