When an agency's scheduled service is live on myStop, riders can plan their own trips accordingly and set up alerts for the service they consume using myStop. If riders create their own account ( accounts must be created on the agency's web- based myStop application), they can also set up recurring alerts for the stops they frequently use. Alerts can be set up for Androids ( smart phones), iPhones or email.
The agency provides a short code, typically included in a marketing campaign, which riders will use. Then riders can text to '321123', and include a 'Stop Id', to receive an alert from the system automatically so they know when the bus is departing the stop they need. Riders can even choose a set of minutes to receive the alert before the bus departs the stop, so they can prepare to board the bus.
TIP: Agency short codes are often abbreviations of the agency name. Examples are CATA=CB, TACT= TCT, etc. The short code 'tells' the software which agency the information alert is for.

- Enter a phone number if text is preferred
- Press 'Add Notification'. You'll see a confirmation that the alert has been saved
Receive Text Alert
The software generates an alert and sends it to your phone for next departures for the stop requested. Simply text the 'Stop Id' to 321123 to receive information about upcoming departure times.
