J1939 Status Screen

Maintenance staff can confirm the connectivity of the J1939 interface using the J1939 Status screen from the MDT Maintenance Admin screen.

The J1939 Status screen indicates whether the myAvail system has properly connected to the J1939 interface. If so, it will also indicate the Device type of the J1939 interface, and whether the system is receiving good J1939 data or not.

This screen will indicate the J1939 Baud Rate if communication is good. For a Simma interface, the Baud Rate will be either 250 or 500 kbit (per second). For a CTI interface, the screen will indicate “Auto” regardless of the CTI interface baud rate configuration.

To view the J1939 Status screen:

  1. Authorized personnel only: Log on to the MDT Maintenance Admin screen.
  2. From the Admin Maintenance screen, press the J1939 button. This action will open the J1939 Status screen as shown in the images below:

NOTE: The information displayed on this screen will vary depending on the type of J1939 interface implemented in the myAvail in-vehicle system.
