Maintenance Admin Screen Overview

The Maintenance Admin screen provides MDT troubleshooting and diagnostic tools used by Maintenance staff and Avail support personnel. From this screen, authorized users can access system utilities that help diagnose communication issues, verify device connections, and manage key components of the MDT and vehicle hardware.

Using the buttons on this screen, users can view or configure communication modules, check wireless network connectivity, retrieve diagnostic data, and access system information needed for troubleshooting. For example, options such as WLAN, GPS, and Radio allow users to verify the status of those systems, while Data Dumps can be used to collect system data for analysis. Tools like Map To help verify device mappings, and Program CRC can be used to confirm software integrity.

Several controls on this screen allow maintenance personnel to manage system behavior directly. Options such as Disable Data, Disable WD, or Reboot can be used to temporarily stop specific processes or restart the MDT if the system becomes unresponsive. The Erase run files option clears stored run data, which may be necessary during troubleshooting or system resets.

This screen also provides access to configuration areas for certain MDT features, including MDC Config, APC/Odo, Annunciator, and IEB, which relate to vehicle subsystems and peripheral devices. These tools are generally used when setting up equipment, verifying integrations, or diagnosing hardware-related issues.

CAUTION: Because these controls directly affect MDT operation and vehicle communication systems, the Maintenance Admin screen should only be used by trained and authorized personnel. Improper use may interrupt vehicle systems, communication with dispatch, or data collection processes.
