Service Bulletin #090: Google Maps Issue for myStop® App on Apple Devices

Originally published on 03/28/2025

As a result of a result of a recent update, Google Maps is not loading as intended on the myStop® app on Apple devices.

What's the Issue?

Google recently completed an update and the myStop® app Google Maps connection on Apple devices is not displaying the map as intended. Schedule related information (route traces, stops, vehicles) is still working as intended. The myStop® app on Android devices appears to be unaffected by this issue.

Who's affected?

Any user attempting to use the myStop® app from an Apple device may be affected.

What do I need to do?

Users with an Apple device can make an adjustment in the settings of the myStop® app to work around this issue. Users will need to navigate to Settings in the myStop® app, once there the user can select Apple Maps under Map Provider. With Apple Maps selected users should be able to view the map as intended.

Updates

  • April 8th, 10:45am ET - We have just released version 4.31.3 for iOS! In this update, the default map has been set to Apple Maps. Apple device users can still choose Google Maps, but please note that the map will not load. We recommend updating to the latest version. We're working toward another update to fully resolve the issue with Google Maps.

Thank you for your patience. We will update this article until the problem is resolved.
