Service Bulletin #67 - Deprecation of Google Universal Analytics

Issue

Some agencies utilize Google Analytics to track myStop (InfoPoint) website data. Starting on July 1st, Google's Universal Analytics (UA) properties will stop processing data. At that time, you will only be able to view historical data.

Who is affected?

You are affected by this change only if your agency manages its own Google Analytics UA account to track myStop (InfoPoint) website data.

Your agency is not affected if:

  • your agency's Google Analytics account is managed by Avail - or -
  • your agency manages its own Google Analytics account and has already migrated to GA4 - or -
  • you don't use Google Analytics to track myStop/InfoPoint website data

What do I need to do?

If your agency is affected by the deprecation (see Who is affected?), you must convert to the new Google Analytics 4 (GA4) by July 1st, 2023 or you will be unable to view new myStop (InfoPoint) website data. Additionally, you will only be able to view the historical data for 6 months before it will be deleted permanently by Google.

Please complete these instructions to update from Google Analytics UA to GA4 by June 28th, 2023 so that our team has sufficient time to make updates:
